Public Relations Intern

Pixel Bakery is looking for a talented Public Relations (PR) Intern to assist in curating and creating engaging content for the studio’s media platforms. This position is a part-time, paid position. The intern will be working closely with Pixel Bakery’s leadership team and brand manager. Their primary role will be to discover unique ways to gain national recognition and press coverage. This includes writing media releases for the studio, helping coordinate PR events, conducting community outreach, increasing our online presence, thought leadership, and much more.

Ultimately, as a PR Intern, you should bring your creative personality forward to assist in Pixel Bakery’s relationships with the media, current clients, and potential clients. An ideal PR Intern would bring new, innovative ideas to the table that help boost the public image of Pixel Bakery.



  • Assist in creating engaging content for social media platforms and media releases
  • Conduct community outreach to assist in building local relationships
  • Assist in scheduling and organizing PR events
  • Submit Pixel Bakery’s work for creative competitions on the national level
  • Promote award recognition in the local community
  • Build relationships with potential clients + strengthen relationships with current clients
  • Suggest creative ways to improve Pixel Bakery’s public image
  • Assist in updating and maintaining Pixel Bakery’s social media platforms
  • Conduct research on current marketing and creative strategies
  • Perform administrative duties under the PR Manager




  • Enrollment or experience in public relations, communications, journalism, or similar field
  • Thorough understanding of popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn
  • Basic copywriting and editing skills
  • Knowledgable of trending social media marketing techniques
  • Comfortability with public speaking and engaging with others
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Willingness to attend events out-of-office and, if needed, on weekends
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
