If you've hung around me at all, you know that community is something that is super important to me. I use the phrase "The Rising Tide Lifts All Boats" so frequently that I might as well get it tattooed on my ass. Another thing I'm passionate about: uniting designers and creatives in Nebraska. Our industry has a tendency to condition us to mistrust other designers and view them as the enemy. I've tried to make it my life's work to put an end to that. Nebraska is home to a hell of a lot of creative studios, designers, and freelancers that can hold their own against the big guys. If we stand together we can collectively put ourselves on the map alongside other cities and states that are well-known creative hubs.
It's a small step towards that goal, but I'm happy to announce the official launch of The Nebraska Creative. I've spent around 200 hours (most of them thanks to quarantine) building this site from scratch as a passion project. Huge shoutout to Hannah Klemme for helping me with the branding, Kaiti Hill for helping with copywriting, and Lindsey Stewart for helping with research.
